About Me

Stéphanie Sutton

I was born in France and grew up in a small town on the coast of Brittany. I completed an English Literature degree at Brest University, followed by a post-graduate degree in teaching French as a foreign language at The University of Lyon. 

After this, I joined the Alliance Française network, teaching French as a foreign language to students of all abilities, levels and backgrounds in Europe, Asia, and America.

Whilst working at the Alliances Françaises of Washington DC and Chicago, I developed online resources and pedagogical material for the organisation, before becoming a qualified teacher trainer, authorised to train and examine other French teachers in their educational practice, and also a certified examiner for the Delf exams.

From there, I worked in the Alliance Française of Oxford before setting up my own private tuition company, Local French Tuition, teaching French to adults of all levels as well as students preparing for their school and university exams.

Having been based near Norwich for the past five years, I have thoroughly enjoyed helping local people in this area learning French and look forward to sharing its beautiful language and culture with you!
